The primary objectives of the program in the UAE are to stimulate in-depth technical discussions and facilitate practical field measurements concerning ASHRAE Standard 241/ASHRAE 62.1, indoor air quality and energy efficiency. The program places particular emphasis on exploring effective strategies for controlling infectious aerosols and underscores the critical role of maintaining high indoor air quality.

• Presentation by Dr. Marwa Zaatari. Chief Science Officer at D ZINE Partners and co-Chair of enVerid Systems Advisory Board. She leads the research and development of “Air as a Service” around heat exchanger coils, ventilation, filtration, and IAQ measurements. Her work continues to advance building science methods in assessing performance-based procedures to design and operate buildings to optimize energy and people efficiency. Dr. Zaatari is a Member of Board of Directors at USGBC, a Member of USGBC Green Schools, School Air Quality Leaders Network: Technical Advisory Committee, and is a member of several ASHRAE committees.
Presentation by Dr. William Bahnfleth. Ph.D., P.E., Fellow/Presidential Member ASHRAE, is a professor in the Department of Architectural Engineering at The Pennsylvania State University — University Park, PA. He holds a doctorate in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Illinois and is a registered professional engineer. He is a Fellow of ASHRAE, the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, and the International Society for Indoor Air Quality and Climate.
