HEPA and UV-C air purifiers
MedicAir Pro Mini (410 m³/h), Pro (605 m³/h) and Pro Max (1,500 m³/h), each with antimicrobial-coated HEPA, activated carbon and ozone-free UV-C.
Phase 2 · Solve
Phase 2 of a HawaQ project. When monitoring shows a problem, we specify the fix that matches it, size it to the space and measure again to prove it works.

The right fix depends on the pollutant. Fine dust and smoke need HEPA filtration. High CO₂ needs more fresh air. Odours and chemicals need source control and activated carbon. High humidity needs dehumidification. Airborne microbes can be reduced with HEPA filtration plus enclosed UV-C.
Solutions
Every recommendation starts from what the monitors found.
| Monitoring shows | Likely cause | What we recommend |
|---|---|---|
| High PM2.5 or PM10 | Dust storms, traffic, cooking, incense, construction | HEPA air purifiers (MedicAir) and better HVAC filtration |
| High CO₂ | Not enough fresh air for the number of people | Ventilation changes. Purifiers do not remove CO₂ |
| High TVOC or formaldehyde | New furniture, paint, cleaning products, fragrances | Remove or reduce the source, ventilate, and add activated carbon |
| Humidity above 60% | Coastal climate, AC cycling, laundry, pools | Dehumidifiers (Stadler Form Lukas Pro and Lukas) |
| Microbial concerns | Clinics, classrooms, crowded or shared rooms | HEPA plus enclosed UV-C (MedicAir, Dinies) |

A purifier is only as good as the air it moves through the room. We size equipment by room volume and the air changes per hour (ACH) the space needs. MedicAir’s own guidance suggests about 3 ACH for homes, 5 for offices and 10 for healthcare.
Example: a 40 m² office with a 3 m ceiling holds 120 m³ of air. At 5 ACH it needs about 600 m³/h, which matches a MedicAir Pro at its maximum setting (605 m³/h). We then check the result with monitoring.

No. Air purifiers capture particles and, with activated carbon, some odours and gases, but they do not remove carbon dioxide. High CO₂ means a room needs more fresh air, so the fix is ventilation.
MedicAir Pro Max, with 1,500 m³/h of airflow at maximum setting, H14 HEPA, activated carbon and ozone-free UV-C. MedicAir names hospital wards, school halls and large open-plan offices as its intended spaces.
Only when the UV-C light is fully enclosed inside the unit, as in MedicAir purifiers and Dinies UVG air purifiers. Open UV-C devices such as the Dinies UV-Mobil are for unoccupied rooms only.
It depends on the measured humidity and the space. Stadler Form Lukas Pro removes up to 50 litres of moisture a day and covers rooms up to 175 m² for dehumidifying; Lukas removes up to 20 litres a day for rooms up to 70 m². We measure first, then size it.

By room volume and the air changes per hour the space needs. MedicAir’s own calculator suggests about 3 air changes an hour for homes, 5 for offices and 10 for healthcare. We then confirm the result with monitoring.
Start with a two-week assessment. We recommend equipment only when the data shows a problem.

HawaQ is the indoor air quality division of PRO TECHnology in Dubai. We measure the air in buildings across the UAE and the GCC, then fix what the data shows.
