Assessment

Ventilation and filtration assessment for UAE buildings

Is your HVAC system delivering enough clean air where people actually are? We measure air changes, airflow paths and filter performance, then recommend practical upgrades.

In short

A ventilation and filtration assessment checks how much fresh air reaches each space, how air moves between rooms and how well filters capture particles. It combines CO₂ and particle monitoring with airflow measurements, an HVAC inspection and, where needed, tracer-based verification.

Scope

What we assess

Air changes and airflow

Air changes per hour (ACH) and how supply air is distributed, room by room.

Pollutant levels

PM2.5, PM10, CO₂ and VOCs measured during normal occupancy.

Humidity and temperature

Control of relative humidity and comfort, to limit mould and microbial growth.

Filtration efficiency

The type, fit and efficiency (MERV or HEPA) of existing filters, and what the system can take.

Recommendations

Ventilation settings, filter upgrades and, where needed, portable purification.

Process

How the assessment runs

  1. Walkthrough

We review the building, its use, the HVAC layout and any history of complaints.

  2. Measure

Monitors log CO₂, particles, humidity and temperature while we measure airflow and inspect filters.

  3. Verify

Where needed, tracer testing shows where air really goes and how fast contaminants clear.

  4. Recommend

A report sets out practical fixes in order of impact and cost.

FAQ

Ventilation and filtration: common questions

Have another question? Ask our team

How do I know if my office has enough fresh air?

Measure CO₂ while the space is occupied. Dubai Municipality guidelines set 800 ppm as an 8-hour average, or no more than 700 ppm above outdoor levels. Rooms that regularly go higher are under-ventilated for the number of people in them.

What is air changes per hour (ACH)?

The number of times the full volume of air in a room is replaced, or cleaned, in one hour. It is used to compare ventilation and purification across rooms of different sizes.

Which filter should our HVAC system use?

It depends on what the fan and housings can handle. We check the system, then recommend the highest-efficiency filter (MERV rating) it can run without losing airflow, and add portable HEPA purifiers where higher protection is needed.

What is SafeTraces veriDART?

A verification service that releases safe, traceable particles into a space and measures where they travel and how quickly they are removed. It shows how well ventilation and filtration actually work in occupied rooms.
