How it works

Three stages in one unit

  • HEPA filtration. An antimicrobial-coated HEPA filter (H13 or H14) captures fine particles such as dust, pollen and smoke.
  • Activated carbon. A carbon layer adsorbs odours and some gases.
  • Enclosed UV-C. Air passes UV-C light inside the unit, which MedicAir states works without emitting ozone.

MedicAir states its purifiers remove up to 99.99% of viruses and bacteria. MedicAir purifiers are not medical devices.

FAQ

MedicAir in the UAE: common questions

Have another question? Ask our team

Which MedicAir model is right for my room?

Pro Mini (410 m³/h) suits bedrooms, private offices and clinic rooms. Pro (605 m³/h) suits classrooms, clinics, gyms and shops. Pro Max (1,500 m³/h) is for hospital wards, school halls and large open-plan offices. We size by room volume and the air changes the space needs.

Is MedicAir a medical device?

No. MedicAir purifiers are air purifiers, not medical devices, and the manufacturer’s manuals say so. They are used in healthcare settings to support cleaner indoor air alongside ventilation and infection-control procedures.

Does MedicAir’s UV-C produce ozone?

MedicAir states that its UV-C technology works without emitting ozone. The UV-C light is enclosed inside the unit, so people in the room are not exposed to it.

How often do MedicAir filters need replacing?

MedicAir rates its filters at about 5,000 hours of use, which is roughly 6 to 12 months depending on how many hours a day the unit runs.
