Assessment

Indoor air quality testing for homes and buildings in Dubai

A two-week assessment with professional monitors and an HVAC inspection shows what is in your air, when it peaks and why. You get a clear report and a short list of fixes.

In short

To test indoor air quality properly, measure continuously for one to two weeks instead of taking a single spot reading. Place monitors in the rooms you use most, log PM2.5, PM10, CO₂, TVOC, formaldehyde, temperature and humidity, and compare the results with Dubai Municipality and WHO guideline values.

  • Afternoon headaches

A formal Dubai Municipality indoor air quality certificate requires testing by a laboratory accredited by the Emirates International Accreditation Centre (EIAC). HawaQ’s monitoring shows how your building performs every day, and helps you find and fix problems before that test.

FAQ

Indoor air quality testing: common questions

Have another question? Ask our team

How do I know if my home or office has poor indoor air quality?

Common signs are rooms that feel stuffy, headaches or tiredness that ease when you leave, musty smells, visible mould, dust that returns soon after cleaning, and allergies or asthma that are worse indoors. Only measurement shows the cause, so we test before recommending anything.

Is a single spot reading enough?

No. Air quality changes through the day with occupancy, cooking, cleaning and air-conditioning cycles. A two-week assessment captures those patterns, which is why it is our standard test.

Do you test for mould and bacteria?

Yes, in our Sick Home and Sick Building Syndrome investigations. We inspect for mould, bacteria, yeast and poor ventilation, and monitor all the key indoor environmental parameters at the same time.

What do I receive at the end?

A written report with charts for every room and parameter, a comparison with Dubai Municipality and WHO values, the likely causes of any problems, and a short, prioritised list of fixes. We walk you through it in an end-of-service consultation.

Will you try to sell me an air purifier?

Only if the data shows you need one. Many problems are solved with ventilation changes, filter upgrades or removing a source. If equipment is needed, we size it to the room and measure again afterwards.

Can HawaQ issue a Dubai Municipality indoor air quality certificate?

No. The certificate requires testing by an EIAC-accredited laboratory. Our assessment shows how your building actually performs and helps you prepare for that test.
